When I saw this sub-head to John McCain’s OpEd in the Wall Street Journal today — “To defeat any adversary, the late North Vietnamese Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap permitted immense casualties and the near total destruction of his country” — I rushed to read it thinking McCain was finally going to criticize the scorched earth, destroy the opposition at all costs behavior of President Obama.
But, alas, all it was was a paen to Gen. Giap.
