Dartmouth Excludes Black Bishop To Promote “Inclusion”

Really. I promise I’m not making this up (I’m not that creative). See my “Short Take” on Minding The Campus today under the title, “Dartmouth Excludes Black Bishop To Promote “Inclusion.”

Say What? (1)

“The Rt. Rev. James Tengatenga had resigned his position as Anglican Bishop of Southern Malawi…”
    Um…why?
    “… and…”
    In order to? Consequently? Subsequently?
“… accepted an offer to become dean of Dartmouth’s Tucker Foundation”
Dean of a foundation? I guess they mean an academic department funded by a foundation board (who are THEY?) “governing” a privatly bestowed
endowment, accepted to serve a specific purpose.
    I could be wrong.

Is it fair to assume that “Dartmouth” now finds it “politically inexpediant” to retain the guidence, and assets, of The Tucker Foundation (No matter however, and whomever, it serves)?

Perhaps “The Tucker Foundation” would consider packing up shop, and moving on to a less discriminating institution of higher “education”?

Say What?
