Does Reading The New York Times Cause Dementia?

These two ads appeared next to each other in the online version of a New York Times article I was just reading.

Is their placement a “code word” or “dog whistle” (more on these in an upcoming post) that reading, or even subscribing to, the New York Times is a sign of dementia?
