“In reality,” declares the editor of the editorial page of the newspaper of record in the alternative universe, “the president is a more-or-less mainstream, smarter-than-average pol … an inveterate compromiser who used to bend over backward to make deals — sometimes in advance! — with Republicans.”
Since the New York Times thinks the president is an eager-to-compromise mainstream middle-of-the roader, I wonder what politicians it regards as driving hard down the left lane?
