The most recent (March 14 – April 2) Real Clear Politics average of Obama’s job approval shows 43.2% approval and 52.9% disapproval.
I would like pollsters to add a query specifically for those who approve of the president’s performance:
Regarding the president’s repeated Obamacare promises that if you like your current health plan you can keep it, if you like your doctor you can keep you doctor, and the average family will save $2500 a year —
- Do you think he was lying? or
- Do you think he believed what he said, i.e., that he did not know the effects his legislation would have?
My fear is that a substantial proportion, perhaps even a substantial majority, of those who continue to approve Obama’s job performance believe he lied but simply don’t care.
