Politically Correct Seattle

Stefan Sharkansky has two terrific posts (here and here) criticizing political correctness at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer on Oh, That Liberal Media! (where I also post from time to time).

The first discusses the Seattle city council’s impending decision to cease impounding the vehicles of those caught driving with suspended licenses because, as the P-I puts it, the law “disproportionately affects African Americans.” The second takes to task the P-I’s coverage of some “legacy of Brown” events, including passing on without comment a remark by Evergreen Tacoma campus founder Maxine Mimms, who said “‘No Child Left Behind,’ without funding, is a modern-day form of lynching.”

Where, asks Shark, is the outrage?

Say What?
